This is my list of Best/Worst Super Modes from Super Sentai and Power Rangers.

KYORYU SENTAI ZYURANGER (1992)/MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS - SEASON 1 (1993)
Best Super Mode - Armed TyrannoRanger aka Armored Mighty Morphin Red Ranger. Though this form has been jokingly referred to as the first Battlizer, this is definitely an interesting one in that with the Dragon Shield and Dragon Dagger, the Red Ranger gains the power of his comrade, the Green Ranger (DragonRanger in Zyuranger), as well as the power to call forth the Dragonzord (Dragon Caesar in Zyuranger).
Worst Super Mode - The Metallic Armor. Even though it managed to protect the Rangers from the Blue Globber for a while, and free the Rangers from Dischordia's singing spell, the Metallic Armor wasn't too special.

NINJA SENTAI KAKURANGER (1994)/MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS - SEASON 3 (1995)/MIGHTY MORPHIN ALIEN RANGERS
Best Super Mode - Samuraiman aka Ninjor Battle Mode. NEVER insult Ninjor (Ninjaman in Kakuranger) in any way, or you'll get your butt kicked.

POWER RANGERS IN SPACE (1998)
Best Super Mode - Red Battlized Ranger. The first Battlizer armor in Power Rangers, it's activated by Andros and Carlos' young friend, Silvy Larson, when she pushing the "03" button on Andros' Battlizer Gauntlet, causing Andros to unlock the powers of his Battlizer Mode. In this mode, he can fire missiles, create a diamond-esque shield to protect himself from an enemy attack, and can fly through the air.

SEIJUU SENTAI GINGAMAN (1998)/POWER RANGERS LOST GALAXY (1999)
Best Super Mode - Galaxy Lights aka Lights of Orion. This would be among the first Super Mode's shown in Super Sentai, which gives the main 5 Rangers some new weapons and new parts on their costumes. Not to mention, this power also works for the Galaxy Megazord. Bonus!

POWER RANGERS LIGHTSPEED RESCUE (2000)
I'm actually kinda neutral about the Blue and Green Megabattle, and the Trans-Armor Cycle at the moment.

POWER RANGERS TIME FORCE (2001)
Best Super Mode - Red Battle Warrior. Given to Wes by a White Knight when he was proven worthy to receive the Battle Fire. Heck, in this form, he looks like a medieval knight with fiery wings with a big sword that's 20% cooler than the Chrono Sabers. Not bad. ;)
Worst Super Mode - Quantum Ranger's Megabattle Mode. I dunno why.

POWER RANGERS WILD FORCE (2002)
Best Super Mode - Red Savage Warrior. The Animarium Armor is but one of many things Cole receives when he gains the Falcon Wildzord. In this form, he can fly with wings similar to the Isis Megazord's which can also be used as a shield, and attack with claws on his finger-tips.

POWER RANGERS NINJA STORM (2003)
Best Super Mode - Red Wind Ranger's Battlizer's Flight Mode. With his wings, Shane can fly high and use his sword and hawk-like gauntlet to attack with.
Worst Super Mode - Red Wind Ranger's 1st Battlizer Mode. I dunno, it just doesn't seem complete without his wings and weapons. Which is why the Flight Mode is better.

BAKURYU SENTAI ABARANGER (2003)/POWER RANGERS DINO THUNDER (2004)
Best Super Mode - Triassic Ranger. With the power to use his Shield of Triumph, Conner can take his opponents into an alternate universe where he can take them down easily.
Worst Super Mode - Super Dino Mode. The spikes sometimes seem a little weird to me.

TOKUSOU SENTAI DEKARANGER (2004)/POWER RANGERS SPD (2005)
Best Super Mode - DekaRed Battlizer aka SPD Red Ranger Battlizer Cyber Mode. I dunno, it seems to work for me.

POWER RANGERS MYSTIC FORCE (2006)
Best Super Mode - Red Dragon Fire Ranger. Heck, he's got dragon wings and can fly with em! THIS shoulda been the battlizer for Troy, the Red Megaforce Ranger.

POWER RANGERS OPERATION OVERDRIVE (2007)
Best Super Mode - Red Sentinel Ranger. I dunno, there's something about the red and gold that works for me.

JUKEN SENTAI GEKIRANGER (2007)/POWER RANGERS JUNGLE FURY (2008)
Best Super Mode - Jungle Master Mode. The white that's added to their costumes seem to work for me. And if they're not using the Claw Boosters, they can use their other weapons as well.

SAMURAI SENTAI SHINKENGER (2009)/POWER RANGERS SAMURAI (2011)/POWER RANGERS SUPER SAMURAI (2012)
Best Super Mode - A tie between the Shark Attack Mode, Super Samurai Modes, and Shogun Mode. Of course for me, Shogun Mode is pretty awesome looking, especially with Jayden. ;)
Worst Super Mode - The Mega Modes used when they went into their Zord cockpits.

TENSOU SENTAI GOSEIGER (2010)/POWER RANGERS MEGAFORCE (2013)
Best Super Mode - Super Goseiger aka Ultra Mode. This is like the Legend Mode from Magiranger/Power Rangers Mystic Force, only 20% cooler. ^_^

KAIZOKU SENTAI GOKAIGER (2011)/POWER RANGERS SUPER MEGAFORCE (2014)
Best Super Mode - Gokai Silver Gold Mode aka Super Megaforce Gold. This is Orion, the Silver Ranger's, Super Mode. Though our fave American-made Ranger, the Titanium Ranger from Lightspeed Rescue, will never be seen in the gold armor, this Super Mode is pretty frickin' awesome!
Worst Super Mode - Some of Pre-Zyuranger suits that were sometimes used as Legendary Ranger Mode. Sorry, I guess it's because I never saw the shows predating Zyuranger - those being Gorenger to Jetman - because I'm not familiar with these costumes.

Well, that's my best/worst list of Super Modes in Super Sentai and Power Rangers.
If you like some of the Super Modes mentioned on here, that's cool. If however you're offended by my opinion on some of them, I apologize for that.
Feel free to share your thoughts if you want to.

Samuraiman/Ninjor Warrior Mode was awesome. In my second attempt at a new MMPR RPG, one of the player characters was called the Shadow Samurai, and his Samurai Zord was a Samuraiman recolour (silver instead of blue) ;)

I totally agree on the Metallic Armour. It was lame, and pretty much existed to push the toys that claimed to be the movie versions even though they were nothing more than shiny versions of the suits from the series.
