Megatron's Be Prepared Songfic

After Sentinel Prime and the High Council elected Orion Pax to be the next Prime and have him search for the Matrix of Leadership, and he spitefully severed all ties with Orion and the Council, Megatron was furious, particularly after Orion, who was now Optimus Prime, had the two sides retreat for now to avoid further bloodshed in the council halls.

Megatron sat by himself in his own section of Kaon as he thought to himself.

Megatron: Curse that Orion Pax, for upstaging me the way he did! I'll make him pay for this if it's the last thing I do!

As his eyes glowed red for the first time, Megatron could feel a presence inside of him.

Megatronus: (voice reverberating) Do you wish to rule?

Megatron: Hmm? Who's there? Show yourself!

Megatronus: (voice echoes) If you wish to rule, sooth your spark with darkness, and my dark magic will help you to do it.

Megatron: Dark magic? Surely you do not mean... Dark Energon, the blood of Unicron the Chaos Bringer?

Megatronus: (voice echoes) Yessss.

Megatron: Who are you, and how do you know my ambitions?

Megatronus: (voice echoes) I am Megatronus... The Fallen. As you are a descendant from my lineage, you and I share a similar interest - complete domination of everything!

Megatron: Where are you?! What do you want of me?

Megatronus: (voice echoes) I was sealed away on a distant planet millennia ago by the Primes I called my "brothers." I am able to speak to you through the magics that Dark Energon has provided me. (pause) Accept me as your master, rally as many loyal followers as you can, and I will provide you with the power to achieve both of our goals, and a new name.

Megatron: (defiantly) I belong to nobody!

Megatronus: (voice echoes) Do you?

Suddenly, Megatron clutched his head in pain as he felt the evil magics of Megatronus granting him pain from beyond his seal. Megatron screamed loudly.

Megatron: (screams) No! No! I accept your terms! I accept!!

Then the pain stopped, as many of the Cybertronians who had allied themselves to Megatron had gathered to watch. Only Megatron could hear Megatronus' voice as he continued.

Megatronus: (voice echoes) Excellent.

Suddenly, a new kind of transformation happened throughout Megatron's body. He became even stronger, and could feel the power of Dark Energon changing him from the inside out. Soon the reformation was complete, and all the Decepticons stared in amazement.

Megatronus: (voice echoes) The dark side is strong with you. A powerful leader you will become. Henceforth, you shall be my general... Of the Decepticon Empire.

Already liking this idea, Megatron smirked evilly.

Megatron: (quietly) Thank you... My master. (stands up)

Then Megatron landed near where most of his Decepticons were, as pools of Energon erupted from the sides, and music started up.

Megatron: (singing) I know that your powers of retention
Are as wet as a Predacon's backside
But thick as you are, pay attention!
My words are a matter of pride

Marching over to a large hulking Decepticon called Lugnut, Megatron waved a hand in front of his face as he continued.

Megatron: (singing) It's clear from your vacant expressions
The lights are not all on upstairs

Lugnut's only response was to salute his master.

Megatron: (singing) But we're talking Primes and successions

Megatron then turned on two Decepticons who were giggling, but they stopped and shuddered when they saw their master looking right at them.

Megatron: (singing) Even you can't be caught unawares
So prepare for a chance of a lifetime
Be prepared for sensational news
A shining new era
Is tiptoeing nearer

Slipstrike: And where do we feature?

Megatron: (touches her cheeks) Just listen to teacher
(singing) I know it sounds sordid
But you'll be rewarded
When at last I am given my dues
And injustice deliciously squared

He knocks an unsuspecting Vehicon away, causing him to fly into a statue as Megatron continued.

Megatron: (singing) Be prepared

Sideways: Yeah, be prepared. Heh-heh, we'll be prepared, heh... For what?

Megatron: For the death of Sentinel Prime.

Frenzy: Why? Is he sick?

Megatron: No, you fool! We're going to kill him. And Orion Pax as well.

Shockwave: (british accent) The idea you propose sounds logical.

Soundwave: (computerized voice) Decepticons superior, Autobots inferior.

Demolishor: Yeah! Who needs a Prime?

Other Decepticons: No Prime! No Prime! La, la-la, la-laa-laa!

Megatron: (angry) Cretins! There will be a Prime!

Frenzy: Hey, but you said, uh...

Megatron: I will be Prime! ...Stick with me, and you'll NEVER GO HUNGRY AGAIN!

Barricade/Sideways: Yeah!

Shockwave/Soundwave: Hail Megatron!

Seekers/Constructicons: Hail Megatron!

Others: Hail Megatron!

Vehicons: (singing; in tight, crisp phrasing and diction) It's great that we'll soon be connected
With a Prime who'll be all-time adored

Megatron: (singing) Of course, quid pro quo, you're expected
To take certain duties on board

Megatron ran a finger across his throat to imitate a sword beheading an Autobot.

Megatron: (singing) The future is littered with prizes
And though I'm the main addressee
The point that I must emphasize is

Megatron jumped into the air and landed near Starscream, who cowered before him as their master continued.

Megatron: (singing) YOU WON'T GET A SNIFF WITHOUT ME!!

Of course, in his mind, Starscream was already making his own plans to be Prime.

Megatron: (singing) So prepare for the coup of the century
Be prepared for the murkiest scam (Oooh... La! La! La)
Meticulous planning, tenacity spanning
Decades of denial is simply why I'll
Be Prime undisputed (Aaaaaaah...)
Respected, saluted (...aaaaaaah...)
And seen for the wonder I am (aaaaaaah!)

Then Megatron laughed evilly as the song ended. His laugh echoed throughout the night. Far away, from his seal, Megatronus the Fallen, formerly a member of the Thirteen Primes, and now Megatron's master, smirked to himself in the darkness.

Megatronus: (chuckles evilly) And so it begins...
