Digimon Tamers-Adventures of Takato and Jeri, Pt.3

It was late afternoon as we find Takato, Jeri, Guilmon, and Calumon by the lake. Jeri is soaking her bare feet in the water, and was enjoying the feeling of the water on her feet.

Jeri: This is sooo relaxing.

Takato: Yeah, especially after all that walking.

Suddenly, they heard someone jogging coming towards them. Takato sees her, and recognizes her as Tally Onodera, one of the women working at Hypnos.

Takato: Oh, hey there!

Tally: Oh, hey you two. How ya doing?

Takato: Oh, we're doin' fine.

Calumon: (flies over to Tally) Hi, Ms. Tally!

Tally: Well, hello there, cutie. (pets Calumon)

Jeri noticed how Tally was dressed; she wore shorts, and a sleeveless top, but no shoes on her feet.

Jeri: Say, you have no shoes.

Tally: Oh yes. See, this might come as a shock to you, but I've been jogging barefoot to give my feet more flexibility.

Jeri: Really? How's it working for you?

Tally: Well, I think it's working quite well. (moves her foot up and down, and twists it around a bit) See? (wiggles her toes)

Jeri: And it doesn't hurt?

Tally: Well at first it did, but now I'm getting used to it. You should try it sometime, Jeri.

Jeri: Well, actually... (pulls her feet out of the water, wiggling her toes) I've been barefooting for a while. Haven't jogged like that yet though.

Tally: Oh, I see. Still, you have very nice feet, Jeri. You must take good care of them, as I do. (giggles)

Jeri: I try my best. But how d'you keep your feet so soft? What kinda lotion do you use?

Tally: With this.

Tally brought out a bottle with the following written on it - "Miracle of Aloe: Miracle Foot Repair Cream".

Jeri: Wow, I always see that at the store. And it really works?

Tally: Wanna give it a try?

Jeri: Sure.

Tally then squirted some on her free hand and started rubbing it on Jeri's left foot.

Jeri: Ooooh, that feels nice.

Then Tally put some aloe on Jeri's right foot.

Tally: There. All finished.

Jeri: Thanks, Ms. Onodera. That felt nice. (feels Tally's foot, which was very soft) And if I use this aloe, my feet'll be that soft?

Tally: If you use it every day. (giggles)

Takato: Could I feel your feet, Jeri?

Jeri: S-Sure.

Takato started feeling Jeri's feet, and noticed how differently they felt now, thanks to the aloe.

Takato: Wow. That aloe really works. I can even feel it between your toes.

Jeri: (giggles) So, Takato, you like feet... But what kind? Soft? Big or soft?

Takato: Uh... (blushes) Does it matter?

Tally: (teasingly) Oooh. Do I sense a bit of romance here?

Jeri: (blushing) Yes. (to Takato) Well, I'm just curious is all.

Takato: Well, to be honest, Jeri... I don't really care how big or small your feet are, or if they're soft or not. I like them just the way they are.

Jeri: (touched) That is so sweet. (hugs Takato)

Tally: (giggles) I always knew there was something special between you two.

Takato: Gee, uh, thanks.

Tally: And for the record, Jeri, I just love how you've chosen the barefoot lifestyle. Now I know another who loves it besides me.

Jeri: Ever met anyone else?

Tally: Oh, I wish. I keep trying to get Riley into it, but she thinks I'm crazy to even consider it.

Jeri: Does Mr. Yamaki know?

Tally: (blushes) Uh, well actually... No. See, I've mostly gone barefoot when at home or when I'm jogging.

Jeri: Oh. I guess you're not allowed to do it at work.

Tally: Unfortunately, yes. But I'm fine by it. (takes a sip of her water bottle, then looks at her watch, notices the time, and accidentally spits out her water on the kids) Oh my! I've gotta go. Riley and I are having a girls' night out. (starts jogging in place) Well, it was nice chatting with you. See ya round! (continues with her jogging)

Guilmon/Calumon: Bye, Ms. Tally!

Jeri: Bye, Ms. Onodera! Thanks for the aloe!

The foursome continued with their day.

Takato: I meant what I said, by the way. About your feet.

Jeri: Thanks, sweetie.

Elsewhere, as the sun starts to set, a digital field appears. Belphemon appears in his Sleep Mode.

Belphemon: (thinks) Very soon, the humans will fall asleep. Then I'll be able to weaken them by eating their dreams.

As night comes, Belphemon floats over several houses. He senses many people asleep already and starts taking away their dreams. As this happens, the humans with their stolen dreams find themselves in an alternate dimension.

Among those affected are Ai and Mako. Impmon senses something wrong and realizes.

Impmon: One of my "former" friends must be behind this. I gotta find the others and look into this.

With this, he digivolves into Beelzemon Blast Mode and starts searching for anyone who is awake to help out.

Meanwhile, as Takato, Jeri, Guilmon, and Calumon are on their way home, Jeri starts to feel the coldness on her feet.

Takato: You okay, Jeri?

Jeri: (shivers) Just a little cold. And I dunno why, but I've got a bad feeling.

Suddenly, Guilmon's pupils shrank, and he started growling.

Takato: What's up?

Guilmon: A Digimon.

Just then Beelzemon appeared.

Beelzemon: Hey, guys, we got trouble.

Calumon: What's wrong, Beelzemon?

Beelzemon: I feel a seriously dark presence in the wind. One of my dear brothers no doubt.

Calumon: (ears shrink) Uh-oh.

Takato: D'you know which one it might be?

Beelzemon: Fraid not.

Takato: Okay, that's a problem. Guilmon, we'd better see if the others can help.

Guilmon: (nods) Right.

D-Power: Biomerge Digivolution.

Takato: Biomerge activate!

Guilmon: Guilmon, Biomerge to...

Jeri, Calumon, and Beelzemon Blast Mode witnessed the Digivolution which merged Takato and Guilmon into one.

Gallantmon: GALLANTMON! Okay, Beelzemon, you see if you can get Rika and Renamon. We'll go and find Henry and Terriermon.

Beelzemon nods and flew off on his mission.

Gallantmon: (Takato's voce) Care for a ride, Jeri?

Jeri: (blushing) Of course.

Calumon: Yay!

Gallantmon picked up Jeri, carrying her and Calumon in his arms, and takes to the sky.

Soon they arrived at the Wong's apartment building. Gallantmon and Jeri looked through one of the windows and saw Henry, Terriermon, and Lopmon standing over a sleeping Suzie. Henry looked worried for his sister, which Jeri took note of.

Jeri: Whattaya think is wrong?

Gallantmon: (Takato's voice) I dunno. But we should get Henry's attention.

Jeri lightly tabbed on the glass, and Lopmon was the first to take notice.

Lopmon: Henry, Terriermon, we have company. (points)

Henry and Terriermon looked and saw Gallantmon, Jeri, and Calumon. Henry rushed over and opened the window.

Henry: Boy, am I glad to see you, guys. Something's wrong with Suzie.

Gallantmon: (Guilmon's voice) Why, is she sick?

Terriermon: Not even I'd joke about it, big guy.

Henry: It's like she's in some bad dream, and we can't wake her up.

Jeri: (gasped) Then we've gotta do something.

Gallantmon: (Takato's voice) We will! (both voices) Beelzemon thinks one of the Deadly Digimon is behind this. We're gonna need all the help we can get.

Henry: (nods) You got it. Terriermon?

Terriermon: Just waitin' on you, Henry.

Lopmon: Take care, you guys!

D-Power: Biomerge Digivolution.

Henry: (jumps out) Biomerge activate!

Terriermon: (jumps out) Terriermon, Biomerge to...

Henry and Terriermon became one.

MegaGargomon: MEGAGARGOMON! Right, let's get to work.

Gallantmon: (nods) Let's see if we can meet up with the others.

Meanwhile, Beelzemon arrived at Rika's place. He found Rika and Renamon trying to wake her mom and grandma.

Beelzemon: So, it's happenin' here too.

Renamon: Beelzemon!

Rika: Hey, what're you doing here? Y'know what's going on?

Beelzemon: Not exactly, just that a Deadly Digimon is behind it.

Rika: Then we'd better meet up with the others and see what we're up against. Renamon...

Renamon: (nods) Right!

D-Power: Biomerge Digivolution.

Rika: Biomerge, activate! (runs out)

Renamon: Renamon, Biomerge to... (runs out)

The two merge into one.

Sakyamon: SAKUYAMON! Lead the way, Beelzemon!

With that, both Digimon flew off into the sky.

Meanwhile, Belphemon was still absorbing the dreams of sleeping victims. Gallantmon and MegaGargomon were the first to arrive.

MegaGargomon: Whoa, that guy's ugly.

Jeri: (looks him up) It's Belphemon. A mega level, demon lord Digimon. He's special attacks are Eternal Nightmare and Lampranthus. (pause) What's this? "Sleep Mode?"

Belphemon: (yawns) Ah, some Digimon who've chosen human partners. Time for me to power up!

Belphemon then changes his form into Rage Mode. Jeri and Calumon gasped at the sight of him.

Jeri: (looks him up again) Oh no! Now it says "Belphemon Rage Mode". His attacks are Lampranthus and Gift of Darkness. Oh, this doesn't look good.

Suddenly...

Voice: Double Impact!

Belphemon was blasted from behind. Gallantmon and the others saw that Beelzemon and Sakuyamon had arrived.

Jeri: Boy, are we glad to see you!

Beelzemon: C'mon guys, let's send this guy back where he came from!

MegaGargomon: Good idea!

Gallantmon placed Jeri and Calumon on the ground where they'd be safe.

Gallantmon: All right guys, let's get to work! Royal Saber!

MegaGargomon: Mega Barrage!

Sakuyamon: Spirit Strike!

Beelzemon: Corona Blaster!

Their attacks met with Belphemon, and an explosion occurred. Suddenly...

Belphemon: Gift of Darkness!

Their enemy unleased a slash attack which made contact with the Mega Digimon, who landed on the ground. Gallantmon landed close to where Jeri and Calumon were.

Belphemon: Fools! The dreams I sucked up from the sleeping humans has granted me strength far beyond what you can imagine.

Jeri: (runs up to Gallantmon) You can do it, Takato! I believe in you!

Gallantmon: (grunts) I... Won't... Let Belphemon... WIN!!! (stands back up) Beelzemon!

Beelzemon: (stands up) Right! No one puts my Tamers under a sleeping spill and lives to get away with it! Corona Destroyer!

Gallantmon: Final Elysian!

Their attacks fire at the same time, connecting and twisting around as they made contact with Belphemon.

Belphemon AHHHH! NOOOOOOOO!!!

Belphemon's body became data bits and disappeared.

MegaGargomon: (amazed) Whoa. Nice teamwork.

Sakuyamon: I'll say.

Jeri: You won!

Calumon: Yay!

Gallantmon got down to one knee and de-digivolved back to Takato and Guilmon. Jeri ran up to Takato and noticed he seemed exhausted.

Jeri: Are you all right?

Takato: (pants) I'm fine. How bout you? You okay?

Jeri: Yeah, I'm okay.

Takato: (sighs) Good. How bout I walk ya home?

Jeri: Of course.

MegaGargomon: (Henry's voice) Well, we'd better get back and check on Suzie.

Sakuyamon (Rika's voice) I have to check on my family too. See ya later.

The two fly off.

Beelzemon: Well, I'd better go back home and check on Ai and Mako, make sure they're okay. Take care, you two love birds. (flies off)

Calumon: Bye!

Fortunately for our heroes, Suzie woke up just fine, as did Rika's mom and grandma, and Ai and Mako, much to our heroes' relief.

Meanwhile, Takato and Guilmon were walking Jeri and Calumon back home.

Takato: So, are your feet okay? They're not cold or anything, are they?

Jeri: A little bit, but thanks for your concern, though.

Takato: You're welcome.

Next morning, Takato and Jeri met up at the park once more. Calumon and Jeri wanted to see if her feet could take to walking through the forest trails. Suddenly, they heard joggers coming.

Guilmon: Hey, look. It's Ms. Tally.

Takato: Hey, you're right. And it looks like she's racing with... Ms. Ohtori?

Jeri got a good look, and sure enough there was Tally, and she was racing against her good friend, Riley Ohtori. Both were wearing sleeveless shirts and small shorts. Riley was wearing Converse sneakers without socks, but Tally was barefoot once more. Riley seemed to be having a hard time trying to keep up with Tally, whose bare feet seemed to grip splendidly with the ground, whereas Riley's feet were feeling hot in her shoes.

Jeri: Hey there!

Tally was the first to see them.

Tally: Hi kids! (stops over to see them, panting)

Jeri: (whispers to Tally) Y'know, you should tell Ms. Ohtori that Converse aren't very good running shoes.

Tally: (whispers back) I know, but she wouldn't listen. Actually, this is part of a deal we have. If I win, Riley has to give going barefoot a try for the next two weeks. (giggles) And this is actually the finish line. (shouts) Looks like I win, Riley!

Riley came up, with her hands against her knees, panting in defeat.

Riley: (pants) How... Are you... So fast?

Tally: My toes could grip the ground much easier, that's how.

Jeri: (impressed) I didn't think that could make a difference.

Tally: So, Riley, remember our agreement?

Riley: (sighs) You're right. Off come the shoes. (First her right shoe came off, then her left shoe)

Jeri saw that it looked as though Riley's feet had been given a medi-pedi.

Jeri: Looks like you take care of your feet, Ms. Ohtori.

Riley: Of course, I do. Of course, that aloe that Tally gave me works like a charm.

Tally: (giggles)

Riley: (notices Jeri's bare feet) Oh, I see you're experiencing being barefoot, too.

Jeri: Yes, indeedy.

Riley felt the ground with her newly bare feet.

Riley: Y'know, this may take some getting used to, Tally.

Tally: I'm sure you'll come to like it. (winks) Well, see ya later, kids. (continues the jog)

Riley: Well, I've gotta try and catch up. Wish me luck, kids! (follows after Tally)

With that, the two women went on their way.

Jeri: Well, that was fun.

Takato: So, ya think you'll get some of that aloe for yourself?

Jeri: Of course. (smiles)

Takato and Jeri both giggled. But unknown to any of them, they were being watched...

Shadowy Figure: Belphemon may have failed me. But now I know the weakness of the one who becomes Gallantmon... Love.

Just then, the three remaining Deadly Digimon appeared. They were Daemon, Leviamon, and Lucemon.

Daemon: Pity for Laylamon. She had her chance to play around with the human called Jeri Katou before she had the chance to eradicate her. But instead, you chose to flee like a coward. Now look where it's gotten her.

Leviamon: Let me go next, master!

Shadowy Figure: (chuckles) All in good time, Leviamon. Daemon, since you spoke up first, you shall have the pleasure of dealing with these humans.

Daemon: As you wish, my master. I especially look forward to seeing what dark thoughts that little girls holds in her. (takes his leave)

Lucemon: (thinks) Try as you will, Daemon. You and Leviamon are destined to fail. I, on the other hand have my own plan, which cannot fail. Of course, the master doesn't realize that once I'm done with those humans, their Digimon, and the traitor Beelzemon, I'll take him out as well.

Will the Tamers be able to take out the rest of the Deadly Digimon?
