This is Casey Holloway, the barefoot runner from 's fanfic -
Running Free - BS VPart 1 This is my Christmas present to him, in the hopes that he'll hopefully finish a project he's be working on called "Barefoot Cinderella". Hope he'll like it.
Kandace Vanderpool was a bit of a queen bee around Midwestern State
University. Her family was affluent, she was the president of the Zeta Rho Tau
sorority, and the captain of the schools cross-country team. She was gorgeous,
and was dating the quarterback of the football team. She was popular, in the
sense that most people hated her, but parasitic, backstabbing social climbers were
desperate to be in her circle. Kandace loved it, and if some people thought she was
a total bitch, so what? She didnt care about anyone outside of her social level,
Today, she was headed for cross-country practice, with her two sorority
sister toadies, Lori and Denise, tagging along. For Kandace, the team was just
another little web for her to control. Her teammates, even Lori and Denise, only
mattered so long as they were successful. Kandace only cared about winning,
because it mad

Casey's Start - BS IXHey party people!
Casey Holloway here, you know, from "Running Free"?. Just wanted to bump that blog hog Kandace a little bit (just kidding, K and I are pretty good friends now). Anyway, I wanted to tell everybody about how I first got into barefooting: It was way back in my senior year of high school (you know, last year). I was on the cross country team, and there was a new girl on the team named Valerie that I had become friends with.
One Friday, she invited me to hang out at her house for the first time. That sounded cool. After practice, Val's mom, Lynette, picked us up. Lynette was in her late thirties, but could pass for a lot younger. Right away, I felt like Lynette was one of those really cool parents, the kind we all wish we had. She had this kind of youthful spirit and energy that most adults seem to lose. She had divorced Val's dad a few months
You're welcome, Jas. And a Merry Christmas to you as well.
I don't expect you to finish "Barefoot Cinderella" by Christmas, but it should be finished at some point in the near future. Good luck.
Maybe someday I'll try Kandace.
