Not a bad book at all. Nice having a story on the line that is very near to my home, the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway. Shame none of the Furness Railway 2-4-2T engines were preserved but they were deemed obsolete quite soon after the LMS came into being.
Anyhow, back to the book. Nice to see Daisy being silly. I cannot stand her. I always felt that it was a shame that the Rev. Awdry had a model of Elsie and yet never wrote about her in the books. She would have made a great addition to the end story.
