Dear Friends,
We have had two visitors to our railway. One of these, City of Truro, is a very famous engine. We were sorry when we had to say goodbye to him.

The other visitor was different. "I do not believe," writes Sir Charles Topham Hatt, "that all Diesels are troublesome, but this one upset our engines and made Duck very unhappy."

The only thing missing from this was how James, Henry and Gordon got their nicknames but other than that this is just an excellent book.
The introduction of a new form of traction, a diesel and how his lies cause much trouble for Duck. Close Shave is a brilliant story to finish the book with especially as it reminds of the story of an engine that hit a chip shop!
